Foreword FIRST
A word that resonates the epitome of achievements - "FIRST". Ever tried to feel the enigmatic aura around the word "First"? Our common lives seem to revolve around the importance of being "First".
The history of mankind has chronicled the epics of the one's who were the "First" among their kind to achieve the unachievable in their era. The world remembers the one's who were "First".
When asked about the evolution of mankind, we all are unanimous to point out that it was the Big Bang that happened FIRST, which triggered the evolution of living beings. What happened after the Big Bang .... ask the astrophysicists and scientists.
I am sure the dog named Lyca must have been a super achiever in its community for being the "FIRST" of its kind to be in the space traveling in a space-shuttle.
Secretly we all nurture the dream of basking in the glamorous aura of being FIRST. We all begin our race of life by taking that "FIRST" step as a toddler, which now a days parents film on their camera to tell the near by community. Almost all parents want to see their kids coming FIRST, whether its in academics or whether its some sports day event. Parents those were always "FIRST" during their school days want their children to emulate them and parents who were never "FIRST" also want their kids to achieve something that they were not able to.
Even today, with half of my life over, I still nurture the dream of basking in the glamorous aura of being FIRST. The only achievement of being "FIRST" in my life was my birth as the "FIRST" child of my parents. Apparently I cannot take the credit for that. I felt it was better to first tackle being "FIRST" in the family rather than tackling being "FIRST" in the world. What could be that thing which will tag me as being the "FIRST" one. After a month of contemplations I finally decided to attempt something that no one in my family has attempted before. Yess!! and that "FIRST" thing was of writing a blog.
Various thoughts raced through my mind when I decided to write a blog. It was easier said than done. The "FIRST" thought that came to me was - Will I be able to write a blog? My idea about bloggers was that they are those species who have an asset of a strong vocabulary along with a sense of understanding literature. I had neither. Being a software professional my vocabulary was limited to the binary characters '0' & '1' and configuration of a laptop or a desktop was the only literature that made sense to me. It almost gave me a feeling of being illiterate, especially after reading about 12 year old kids writing blogs. At the same time it also made me more determined in my expedition about the attempt to bask in the glory of being "FIRST".
Since it is an attempt at being "FIRST", I decided to give a title to my blog that reflected the aura of the word "FIRST".
